This immigration issue has been turned on its head. As a native american whose ancestors survived the "Trail of Tears" I would like to point out that many of these so called "Illegal Immigrants" had forefathers coming in to what is now called the United States for thousands of years. It is a fact that the Mayans came all the way up to where Georgia is now. While Ms Bachmans ancestors where harvesting grain for cereal in Germany or god knows where 900 years ago, these "Illegals" had ancestors certainly in North America and probably in the United States. S what I would like to see is for Mrs Bachman to personally escort one of these "Illegals" to the border and once there she can just keep on going herself.
And just for the record, you are also an immigrant.

Tried to go to the site, didn't work. However, the problem with your petition is we are not supposed to be a government of welfare, but rather a government of freedom to achieve. At this point in our country we can no longer help those who truly need help because we have become a people of (the government owes me) and are reaching a saturation point whereby the takers are taking from the needful and overtaking the providers.
We ARE taking care of them; vaccines, shelter, showers, soap, clothes, entertainment, bedding, food - Michelle is not talking about that. These intruders are Unauthorized Foreigners or Illegal Aliens – They are Not just "undocumented immigrants" – They are intruders! – And based upon that truth, they have no constitutional rights in our country.

Illegal "immigrants"? – They're not just doing jobs that Americans don't want. (And I'm not talking about migrant workers, which is obviously not the problem) Do they pay state and federal income taxes? Don't get me wrong many of these people work hard, but are a drain on the system if they don't pay income taxes, have healthcare coverage, learn the language or get paid wages that are in line with their American counterparts. We all know that the health care provided to uninsured illegals here in the states is being averaged into our hospital costs and our insurance premiums, which have PROPORTIONATELY increased along with illegal immigration over the last 20 years? But somehow both parties keep ignoring this. These costs are also being passed along to Medicaid and Medicare, which means that not only are they increasing our insurance premiums, but that we're paying for them again with our tax dollars. Our tax dollars and insurance premiums should not be used to recoup the cost of healthcare given to illegal aliens, who shouldn't even be here in our country in the first place.
Just look around and you'll see who's doing 90% of the residential renovations, construction and property maintenance jobs. That's certainly what we're seeing in the northeast. These are not just jobs that Americans don't want.
The hiring of cheap illegal labor causes a chain reaction. The contractors who hire cheap, uninsured, non-income-taxpaying, ILLEGAL aliens undercut the contractors who hire US Citizens or Legal immigrants. Even if the contractor wants to continue to employ US Citizens or Legal tax-paying immigrants, they end up replacing their Legal employees with illegals just to be able to get the work. Unfortunately unions and the old "that's not my job" union attitudes here in the USA have also contributed to this problem.
Also when these Non-income-tax-paying illegal Aliens take American Citizens jobs they also are taking away the income tax revenue that those working American Citizens would be providing to our government. In addition, the American Citizens who have their jobs taken away by these Illegal Aliens then have to be paid unemployment and usually have no healthcare insurance either because they can't afford COBRA, which adds even more to our deficit and further increases our healthcare costs.
Over the last 2-3 decades, our idiotic traitorous political "leaders" from both parties have been selling out the bulk of the American citizens, who they're supposed to represent, by allowing the incursion of illegal aliens (cheap labor) and the outsourcing floodgates to open wider and wider without taking any sensible measures to stem the tide.
I run a business that does it the right way and employs 20 US Citizens and 1 Legal Immigrant and I believe that the use of Workplace Raids is a perfectly realistic way to put a stop to this BS. Plus we should publish the results of these workplace raids and fines to the public, so American Citizens and customers could see which companies are employing illegals.
Let's get the good productive illegal immigrants into the system and paying federal and state income tax or get them out and NOT Let Any More Come In unless they come in as Legal Immigrants. Make them apply for legal visas and or U.S. citizenship and if they don't, then get them out. If they get rejected get them out or give them one quick appeal and if they still get rejected, then get them out. And let's send the bad ILLEGAL Aliens back to where they came in and let's STOP ANYMORE ILLEGAL ALIENS from getting in.
Any Illegal Aliens that are already in our jails, for crimes that they have committed in our country, should stay in our prisons until they have severed their sentences and then be deported immediately upon their release from prison.

ps: Most illegal aliens are paid off the books and if they're employer says that they're deducting income tax they're lying. And the few that are being paid on the books, using fake IDs, claim a huge number of dependents, etc................ And could you or I get away with not filling income tax returns? And what about the ballsy ones that do file and claim a ridiculous amount of deductions to get big refunds. There are even sleazy accounts that specialize in helping them game the system.

I think its going to be a while before people realize Obama and friends are not interest in enforcement of our laws or borders. Obama's DACA decision was like an open invitation. Sorry, but that is a complete and outright lie. I don't know where you get your facts or figures from. If you a re posting that comment based on an assumption......sorry but you are wrong. If you are doing it based on figures provided by this administration, you are wrong and you are believing a lie.
How do I know this? You see.....Mexican and Canadian citizens are the only ones, based on individual cases, the ones granted a Voluntary Return to their home country, if they are found to be in the country illegally. There are some factors that can change that , but for most part they'd be granted an easy return back to their respective countries. It's a simple administrative procedure.
A deportation, while still considered and administrative procedure, carries infinite more weight and consequences, Usually, such orders of deportation have to be administer by an Immigration Judge and they carry a minimum of 5 years penalty. The subject, wouldn't be able to apply for a visa or permit to be in this country until such time has passed. A subsequent violation (if caught) would impose another 5 years, and so on, and so on.
How is this at all pertinent to your statement? I'm about to tell you. Obama, this administration and its agencies have been furnishing the numbers that while they are not quite a lie, they are not quite the truth either. You see, numbers are quite a funny thing. Figures can serve to make someone look a hero or a zero.
In this case, this administration has been tallying the Voluntary Returns as part of the final deportations figure. Again...How do I know this? Because I work for one of the major government agencies that have been trusted to enforce our immigration laws. Which this regime has been making impossible to do......but that is another story.
You have to ask yourself a question: If in fact Obama has deported more illegal immigrants that any other president.....then why would the Union officials from ICE (now HSI), and Border Patrol would address the lack of enforcement by this regime on national television?
I mean this in the best of ways. Go out and do some research. I'm not asking you to believe Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, etc. Go out and talk to some immigration lawyers, Deportation Officers, Border Patrol Agents, Immigration Enforcement Agents, etc. They will not only tell you the truth, but also paint you a clear picture that your ears wouldn't believe.

It's a show of interuptions. The hosts and guests constantly interrupt each other, regardless of their political affiliation. I'm not a particular of the format, but that's how the show is designed.
