"That is a fact. When was the last time Obama landed on an aircraft carrier, in full flight getup, and stood in front of a mission accomplished banner?"

Bush piloted his own fighter jet, Obama couldn't fly a kite unless he had a teleprompter, and the only thing obama has accomplished is a retreat and screwing working Americans with obamacare.

"Or carried around a plastic turkey in Iraq?"

Lying pos, how about this headline?
Gabby Giffords feeds troops at home a Thanksgiving meal as Obama phones soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan.

"Or stood in front of a statue lighted by a generator in the middle of a city devastated by ahurricane,"

Oh! You forgot the image of obamas arms wrapped around Christie after hurricane Sandy!

"while people drowned in the dark?"

Who had been ordered to evacuate and didn't and who waited on the government to bail them out.

"Do you honestly think leadership is looking at kids crowded in warehouses and looking concerned?"

    Damn right, it is leadership!

Do you really think playing pool and getting buzzed is leadership?

No, I think acknowledging the problem, creating plans to deal with it and sending those plans to congress is leadership. All of which Obama did.

Obama isn't against photo ops... when he actually has the ability to make something happen while there. He'll go visit Sandy... and announce that the government is sending money to help. He can actually DO SOMETHING in that scenario. The sad part of this situation is that he can't do anything... because Congress wrote the law in a way that gives him no authority to take administrative action.

All he can do is continue the current policy that follows a law that passed both houses UNANIMOUSLY... until congress gives him the power to do something else.

That's the dirty little secret about his other executive orders and administrative actions... they're all allowed because congress had passed laws in the past giving him authority to act administratively in certain areas (mostly regarding regulation and taxation).

That authority hasn't been given to the president in regards to immigration.

Total bs, leadership is showing concern, leadership is action, leadership is leading by guidance, leadership is seeing for yourself what is taking place so you can make an accurate assessment. I had as much respect for him as any president when he went to see the damage from hurricane sandy that is what a leader is suppose to do. Why he wouldn't do it this time is disheartening. Your constant defense of his ineptness is confusing but I suspect an ulterior motive or extreme political ego.

You undoubtedly don't have a life, to spend as much time as you do writing your liberal nonsense. What you actually write are excuses and no matter the issue according to you there isn't anything obama has done that was wrong or even remotely questionable. I feel sorry for you, however, just like "The GOP Solution" who copy/paste the same sick crap, your hate is constant, disturbing and misguided.

Kurt, I just saw the replay of Obama's speech on the Malaysia airliner crash and the Israel / Hama's conflict and seen something different from him. He is scared sh itless. Besides his normal appearance of weakness and indecisive action he had the look and sound of a man genuinely afraid, unsure of what to do. This is not a good trait from a leader and this makes me sad for our country.

Most photo op Presidency? First I question that is actually true. Or at least that it is significantly higher enough to be worthy of note. But, if it is, is it perhaps also not just a sign of wider use of web technologies and a demand for more content about the President. Only way to know will be to compare with coming presidents to see if this is a blip or a trend.

Of course since you did not specify who, your " Just when you think Palin is the stupidest woman in politicts, this gal comes along" comment could also apply to Hillary.

President Obama is definitely the king of Photo-Ops, but not good at much else. Like most of our political leaders' talk is just cheap and meaningless! – When will these people finally wake up and step up with real ideas and real action, instead of just meaningless talk and tokenism? – These idiots have been avoiding action for 2-3 decades.

The problem in trying to elect good leaders for The United States of America has nothing to do with the color or gender of our politicians. It's our politician's, from both parties, lack of honesty and the lack of willingness to do right by the US citizens that they're elected by and should be representing.

As far as I'm concerned this is the bottom line: The ONLY REAL FIX for our great country is to RAISE REVENUE, by Bringing Back Businesses and Jobs to TAX-PAYING AMERICAN CITIZENS.

This is the only way that Americans are going to be able to "Get a Raise" and sustain it. The more jobs and businesses that we bring back to tax-paying Americans citizens, the healthier our real economy will be and the more likely it will be for the American people to keep up and possibly even start to move forward again.

Unfortunately most of our politicians are a joke – Only it's not so funny, because over the past several decades, all they've been doing is screwing the American people, by stalling, spending, removing protections and allowing illegal aliens to continue to pour in and American jobs and industry to pour out, and all while collecting their American tax-payer funded pay checks, benefits and whatever else they get on the side from their various lobbyist friends.

It seems to me that over the last 2-3 decades that both parties were always able to distract and polarize voters with insignificant peripheral social issues like gay marriage and abortion, which got most voters so caught up in the BS that they'd always lose sight of the bigger picture. If more people would have listened to Ross Perot back in 1992, America wouldn't be in this mess. I and many other people, who were able to see through all of the left vs right BS, did vote for Perot, because he was straight forward and just used common sense. He cared about his country and the American people.

We'd really all be better off by just cutting through the BS and all the my team vs your team name calling nonsense and really focus on America and improving the future of the American people.

Once they're elected, our leaders should be working together for the good of our country and our citizens by using combinations of the best ideas from both sides. – Instead of just trying to make the other side look bad so that they'll lose the next election. – How's that nonsense been working out for the American People and the Real American Economy?

All the nonsense just allows the puppet-masters to continue to do what's best for them at the expense of the American people while we're polarized and distracted.

But, let's face it – Neither party is actually running our country – Powerful puppet-masters play both sides to make sure that they get what they want. Unfortunately what they want is not usually in the best interest of the majority of the American people. (American citizens)

The so called "Global Market Place" is not a level playing field. Companies may have made higher profits by "outsourcing", but they've been putting middle class Americans who are a good part of the world's customer base out of work.

Foreign Lobbyists here in the US promote sending US jobs to countries like China, India and Mexico where they work for slave wages, no benefits, no OSHA safety standards or no real environment regulations. It also doesn't help us compete when these company's factories are subsidized by China's communist government. Just check out the current Chinese extreme pollution issues – We all live in the same world, but not every country plays by the same rules.

The American people need American leaders who will start putting some sensible measures in place to stem the tide or this is going to continue to have a devastating effect on the United States of America and the American people.

Aren't there at least a handful of these powerful puppet-masters that are fellow Americans with enough of a conscience, guts and loyalty to America and their fellow Americans to start trying to turn this trend around?

If there aren't any, we're screwed.

The bottom line is that "Our Government" has to protect American jobs and domestic industry – If they do that, the rest will take care of itself.

Bringing manufacturing back to the US not only gives jobs to the US citizens who would be working in those manufacturing facilities, but to the people that would be working in the businesses that would spring up all around them. This should also include the safe harvesting, production and distribution of our own natural energy here in the USA, rather than paying for fuel from countries where they hate us. Let's keep that money and those jobs here in the US.

The “Global Market Place” is not a level playing field! The whole idea of the tariffs is so we can pay our factory workers a decent wage and not be blown out by these other countries where they don’t play by the same rules. We may have to pay a bit more for products made here in the USA by US citizens, but at least we'll still have jobs and a future for our children.

The lack of businesses and good jobs in the USA is what's really going to rob us, our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren of the potential of a prosperous or even decent future.

It's all happened because, over the last 25-years, our government has allowed our country's industries to get sucked out to countries like Communist China, India, Mexico, etc and allowed illegal aliens and H-1B foreigners to come into our country and take away tax-paying Americans jobs and drive down wages.

It has all happened way too fast – Our government leaders should have put measures in place to make it slower, so that it wouldn't devastate our country, which has no chance when competing with other countries that don't play by the same rules or have pay scales that are even remotely close.

That's where our government leaders have to step up and put some sensible measures and incentives in place to keep jobs here in the USA or the real economy and infrastructure of the country we love will be destroyed along with the future of the American people.

Our leaders better wake up and put some sensible measures in to stem the tide or this is going to have a devastating effect on America and the American People.

Nowadays it's obviously not about being either lazy or uneducated as many try to profess, but about wages, expenses and regulations that are not even remotely close to the wages, expenses and regulations in our country.

If more people would have listened to Ross Perot back in 1992, America wouldn't be in this mess.

Regardless of what the Free-Traitors keep trying to sell us, we can see what's real. The American People need to just trust their own instincts, common sense and what they've seen actually going on all around them versus all of the nonsense that the Free-Traitors are still trying to sell us.

The American people will need good jobs with health-care benefits in order to be able to pay for the services of those educated doctors, lawyers, college professors, etc. – It can't all be chiefs and no Indians. There is an equally important place for both of them in America.

The American People deserve leaders that will Honor The Fact that They Are Elected by the Citizens of the United States of America to Represent the Interests of Those Citizens and The Country Itself and that They are NOT Elected By or To Represent Lobbyist, the Global Marketplace (NAFTA, WTO, TPP), Foreign Citizens or Illegal Aliens.

Let's face it both parties are just doing the bidding of their masters, while lamely trying to look like they're trying to represent us. Wouldn't it be nice, if some of these puppet masters were conscientious loyal Americans who loved their country and cared about their fellow Americans enough that they would finally start pointing their lap-dog-politicians in the direction of doing right by the American People? – Maybe that's delusional on my part – But if this doesn't start happening soon, the American people and the future of the country that we love is doomed.

The American People need actual Loyal American Leaders who will stop selling us out to other countries like Communist China, India and Mexico.

Economic Fairness for the American People and the Real American Economy: It's called Tariffs, Tax Incentives for Repatriating Industries and American Jobs and Protecting Our Southern Border.

When the current president is dealing with stuff like welcoming sports teams to the white house... yeah, he gets photo ops. Just like every other president has.

The question is if photo ops are important when actually trying to deal with an issue.

This isn't a situation where the president can do much administratively more then he has already proposed (more money to speed the hearings up). The reason is that the law congress passed doesn't give him any wiggle room when executing the law.

The fact is the law says the border guards have to let these kids in. The only way to fix that is to change the law. The president has signalled to congress that he's on board with that.

In this case, he's reacting to the problem as quickly and strongly as he's allowed by the law. Him seeing it in person, even if it impacts him and makes him think the problem is even bigger, wouldn't change the fact that he's not ALLOWED to do more because of the laws congress passed.

Yes, he could go. He could say he's disturbed by the scene. He can say he'll do all he can to remedy the situation. But he's already doing that without visiting. What's the point other then getting another photo of the president looking concerned?

Do you honestly think leadership is looking at kids crowded in warehouses and looking concerned?

Photo ops aren't leadership. They're mainly for campaign and approval rating purposes... they have NO impact in actually getting something accomplished.

And in Obama's case, where the GOP's stated goal was to make him a 1-term president and continue to try to work to prevent him from doing anything, phot ops relating to an issue that needs congressional action are anti-leadership... because him supporting something means the GOP will immediately come out against it.

If he comes out for deporting all the kids, the GOP will try to step in to save the children. If he comes out in favor of taking care of the kids, the GOP will try to deport them all. The best way for him to lead that intractable group is make them come up with the idea first... so he has a chance to then accept it afterwards and hope they don't change their mind after the fact (like they did with the individual mandate... a GOP idea).

You can't lead those who refuse to listen to logic or reason and just want to oppose anything you support. Sometimes maybe you can trick them into doing the right thing... but you can't lead them. And the GOP chose this path from the start... demonize, attack and oppose all things Obama for purely political gain. They even SAID IT PUBLICLY.

Not much anyone can do to overcome intractable idiots who refuse to listen to reason.

Not very bright are you! These younger generations have nearly always rebelled by voting liberal and more in the last 20 or so years but as all generations discover, they get older smarter wiser. Guess what, they realize what a mistake it was because it always comes back to bite them in the ass when they are the older generation and especially now since we have a president like Obama who promotes government dependency with absolutely no way to sustain the cost.

One comforting thought, the older generations are living longer and the younger generations are declining in numbers. Therefore, this creates an inverse proportion to the impact of their liberal impact.
