He will be in Texas tonight, but President Barack Obama has no plans to visit the border area where tens of thousands of young immigrants have illegally entered the country in recent months to create what his administration labels an urgent humanitarian problem.
The trip to the Lone Star State - the epicenter of the immigration influx - includes Democratic Party fundraising events, and after some political squabbling, a meeting with Republican Gov. Rick Perry.
That's not enough for GOP critics or even some of Obama's fellow Democrats.

When you look at McCain's numbers, it's pretty clear that quite a few unaccompanied children are getting in without being intercepted. Probably the most important fact about this is that agribusiness needs the cheap labor. So I predict they'll keep getting it. When the price of lettuce starts going up at the store, that's when you know something is happening. This also brings up the question of whether they use child labor. But Obama's idea about alleviating the situation in El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras is probably a good one, though I can't imagine what that would entail. And what about Mexico, there's plenty of gang violence there.
But Obambi told us the border was secure !! He also said he was going to fix the V.A., you can keep your doctor and he really put his foot down on don't cross this red line. This admins theme is FAILURE ALL FRONTS, except he did win biggest liar of the year go Obambi !!!!
The issue has nothing to do with border securiity.
Congress passed a law that says immigrants from these countries cannot be stopped at the border. They must be brought in, go through a hearing to determine if they warrant asylum and then either be deported or granted asylum. This isn't the president ignoring laws to secure the border... this is the president doing what congress asked him to.
He CANNOT do anything else without congress changing the law. The request for more money is simply to get the funds to allow him to follow the laws that they passed. And they're holding a threat of a lawsuit over his head if he DOESN'T follow the laws as written.
There is a failure here with the children coming over... but it's not a failure of administration. It's a failure of legislation and funding. And the only group with the legal power to fix it... is congress. Immigration reform... which would include reforming the laws that allowed this to happen... is needed.
Wrong again, Obumbles is the failure. Hes in charge and has accomplished nothing positive. Money cannot fix stupid and Obumbles has plenty of that !
Immigration invasion.
