Everything democrats do such as giving them Licenses, welfare money and even Scholarship money (California) encourages more to come and the proof of that is 2-3 Million in 1986 and now 11-20 million. Apparently some can't or aren't learning from history or our past mistakes. Are they incapable of learning? I believe it's much more than that.
This is a direct result of not following through with securing the border back in the 1986 Amnesty given. Democrats are completely responsible for the border not being secured, PERIOD.
Do what they do with everyone else UNDOCUMENTED. It after-all is not the U.S. being nasty as much as it is those adults sending their children to this country UNDOCUMENTED. Why then are we in America turning this into 'our' issue?

I am so blessed and glad that my kids will never endure what those kids have. They get to experience the Disney Channel, Disneyland, chicken nuggets, strawberry shakes, laughter, love, education, and then get tucked in bed every night. Honduras is the murder capital of the world. All of the drugs that Americans buy MUST be funneled through Honduras. There is no economy. The only way to survive is to join a gang by transporting drugs to America. There is no justice system, it is completely flawed. The gangs control everything down there. There is no hope, but death. It is wrong to break American laws and come illegally, but my God... I can't imagine their lives down there. I can't say that I blame them. A death sentence awaits these children upon their return. Let our legal system run its course. Give them all a fair hearing.
I hear you Leesa. However, you really must not know the sad reality of our immigration system and courts. The system is not broken. Politicians with something to gain will tell you so, but in fact the United States has some of the relaxed immigration laws in the world. I really wish all Americans had access to the information. You'd be astounded and wouldn't place any faith in the system.
I've been working in the immigration field for over 12 years. The truth about the kids crossing the border and seeking asylum is a simple one. They come because this administration sends a clear message that if you get caught and claim that you are escaping poverty and violence, you won't be sent back. The word has spread like wildfire through most Central American and some S. American countries.
This is very reminiscent of what was happening back in the early 2000's with citizens from Brazil. At the time, Brazilians were just giving themselves up to Border Patrol Agents, knowing that they would be set up for a Notice to Appear, sent to an Immigration Detention Camp and a low bail bond would set them free until their case was "decided". they knew that most cases take 3-5 years to reach a final decision. By that time they set up families and get jobs so the judge lets them stay. You know when the Brazilians stopped coming? It all stopped when we change the practice of letting out with a simple bond and deported back to Brazil!!!
All these kids that are coming are not escaping violence. At least no more violence than what has been the norm in their countries since they've been born. Poverty you say? Show me a Central or South American country that doesn't have a third world economy and clearly doesn't have just two social classes. Rich and poor. That is it.
These kids and adults accompanied by minors have their lines well rehearsed and claim fear to be returned. Most of these minors already have their parents living here illegally. Their parents left them with grandparents or other family when they crossed the border in the middle of the night many years back. All we are doing by reuniting them is rewarding them for breaking our existing immigration laws.
What do you say, with a straight face, to all those immigrants that are trying to do it by the book? Don't we preach to them that the American way is to work hard and follow the law so they can be assimilated into the fabric of our society?
Now, we have Obama asking for billions of dollars for border security. Why? And notice he doesn't ask it for immigration enforcement. The borders are protected to the best of our ability. Billions of dollars have already been spent in hiring personnel and infrastructure. What is left to do is to stop tying the hands of all the agencies in charge of regulating and enforcing the Immigration and Nationality Act and let them do their job.
No, Mr. President. You don't need any more money. What you need to do is to just get out of the way and let the law of the land be practiced without your immoral intervention.
I'll leave all with these little nugget of information: Did you know that the people that revise and are in charge of adjudicating immigration cases are under an Approval quota? No, you won't read that in any memorandum nor will you find it mentioned under any regulation. However, it is a fact that Adjudication Officers have a tough job bc if they don approve more than 80% of cases then they have some explaining to do and when they disapprove a case, then the paperwork to support their decision is lengthy and mind numbing.
Like I said at the beginning, I have been doing my job for more than 12 years. In that time I've seen illegal aliens and legal residents involved in a slew of crimes ranging from sex trafficking to drug and weapon smuggling. The funny things is those same ppl have the nerve to apply for legal residency and US citizenship. That wouldn't be the bad new as I've come to expect anything out of that type of person. What will shock is that those same people, having been convicted of those crimes still get granted resident status and US citizenship!
Anyone who has not followed the legal process should be deported immediately. Where is the logic of allowing someone entrance into a group when they have broken the covenants of the group? Is a basic understanding of group dynamics beyond most people's intellect? Groups are defined by COMMON values, and the principle that INDIVIDUALS in a group are benefitted by inclusion in a group. If members who do not hold the same common values as the rest of the group, or add costs to individuals within the group without offsetting benefits, group dynamics are weakened.
I think they should send them all home along with half the politicians that cant seem to figure out that this country is in danger of being so far in debt that it will take 4 generations to get us out of it. These Politicians that think we can just throw money at everything. We cant afford to fix our own homelessness, poverty and Veterans getting screwed all the time. I for one have spent 17 1/2 yrs fighting for these rights that Obama and the rest of these politicians keep taking away. I say we impeach all 735 of them and elect all new that will fight for the people and not there own pockets. They say they want to save money than every damn one of them that has not been there for 20 yrs should give up there pensions and change this law that they receive nothing when they get out and have to accept all the same laws that they impose on us while they we an elected official. Quit taking advantage of the little people and start acting like what your two-faced mouth is saying on the TV..

Find them apartments or some place to live if they are older, if they still need adult guidance (unlikely given what they've been through so far) then find them foster homes. Otherwise, check up on them every once in a while and let them go to school, work, and live like any other person.
I live in a border state that is being overrun with illegals. The hands of our border patrol have been tied. Border patrol officers are no longer allowed to use guns unless fired upon. They have been issued pellet guns and tazers. If illegals throw rocks at them, they are required to back off.
A Mexican Teen that was Killed By Border Patrol recently was ruled by our own courts as being Protected By the U.S. Constitution even though he was a Mexican and not American. So now his family can legally Sue the border patrol officer.
Illegal immigrant crime is soaring and the police are hamstrung by court orders to not even ask if someone they stop is illegal, and DHS/ICE refuse to respond to their requests about status.
These illegals are getting free medical screenings while our veterans die waiting for one.
I have no doubt that this whole "crisis thing is being carefully orchestrated by the obama administration to give enough "reason" to enact his Amnesty desires!

The kids in thousands crossing into borders should be extended all the help and assistance allowed under U. S. Laws .In follow up of great American traditions of forefathers and grand fore fathers of all Americans . The Law makers who are opposed to immigration reforms , should particularly be reminded that a long time ago the U. S did had screening process at the ports of entry . They should look what have the have become ? Immigration is in U. S. A. 's DNA .
We should just dismantle border control altogether and re-assign all officers to conduct mass media campaigns all across Mexico, Central, and South America welcoming mothers to just mail us their children right after they're just old enough to be indoctrinated against birth control, and then prioritize them in decreasing order of contagious, incurable, and preferably sexual medical conditions.
Phase 2 will be deploying the Navy to Africa and putting our veterans to work in mass relocation campaigns for all Ebola patients and HIV positive orphans with secondary TB, to be interred in our public schools, and then mobilized into a mass child-corps to deliver meals to our elderly.

What I'm about to say will sound cold and heartless but please bear with me.
I'd like to remind that we aren't talking about a small, or even large one time group of refugee's being granted temporary asylum. The issue is circumventing the law to grant unearned amnesty to hundreds of thousands of illegals; Who, I might add, have been proven to be the host of contagious diseases (and no I'm not trying to use that as an excuse for deportation, just stating cases. Deportation is a matter of legality alone.) Pouring in faster than they can be properly processed, faster than they can be given proper medical attention, faster than they can be properly housed (should the administration so choose to circumvent the law) with no clear end in sight.
Does that seem fair to them? Or to us? I must say my conflicted humanitarian friends, you seem to lack some important pieces of the puzzle on a grander scale and focus only on temporary solutions to a much larger problem. Is amnesty better than being subject to war zone conditions? Most would say yes. I, one who have seen combat first hand and have become all too familiar with the face of death and evil, do not share that opinion.
For it's best to fight oppression and win back your home. It's best to maintain what your ancestors have fought so passionately for, for so long. It's best to reinstall the
values of your nation and your culture, whatever the cost. Is that not what our loved ones have fought and died for? Is that not what our living continue to fight for, both at home and abroad?
I'm sorry to sound heartless, but fighting oppression there (true at great cost) will enrich future generations and our two nations as a whole. Failure to do so just may all but ensure that's the next thing to cross our border.
True, this is a sad situation, but the current path.. in my personal opinion, is incorrect. For it's two nations we are jeopardizing.
It's not best for them to flee their own country instead of rise up and take it back, it's not best to erode our system and unlawfully grant an unearned gift, it's not best to jeopardize future generations with economic stagnation. If the issue is so truly bad in their home country, why not outreach to the UN and undoubtedly the US to squash their oppression.
If they want our help, it's this commenter's opinion that this is the help we should be giving; A liberated nation of proud Hispanics. If we can do it for other countries, why can we not offer the same assistance, assistance we truly specialize in, to them as opposed to putting more strain on our economy in the long run and sending a clear message of cowardice and global acceptance of this behavior to the cartels.
I submit to you, if they don't have that drive, how can we expect them to be cultural
Americans? For these are the values WE cherish are they not? This is what WE would do, is it not?
In short, illegal immigration into the U.S. is not the real problem. It's a symptom of broken and failing Governments south of the U.S. that either can not, or will not, provide adequate safety and security for their own citizenship.
Focusing on immigration policy without addressing the root cause is guaranteed to fail. Helping Countries south of our border become places people actually want to live is both a moral imperative and a matter of National security.
Understandably, I expect this post to receive much criticism and I encourage calm debate on the matter.

We should find their illegal parents and then deport the entire family!
They need to go back to their own country and if our government wants to contribute to their welfare, donate funds. We as a nation are broke and cannot afford to care for refugees throughout their lifetime..

Bring the youngsters in, give them medical treatment and vaccinations, place them in the undocumented population, and they can vote illegally for the Democrat Party in the 2020 or or 2024 presidential elections, ensuring the ongoing domination of the Socialist Imperium.
Leave them undocumented until thay turn 18 years old serve 4 year in military then become citizens or pay a higher social security tax.

Tell Mexico, under threat of both economic, tourism (those heading south), and other beneficial trade agreements being suspended between our two countries, for Mexico to seal their southern border and stop the hoard of youth coming north.
These undocumented kids are transiting Mexico with "an official blind eye" on the part of Mexican Authorities. Conversely, the U.S. who has little if any border control, Mexico does not condone illegal entry, with stiff jail sentences for those illegally entering Mexico and attempting to stay.
Escuses! Send back the illegal immigrants immediately! 50,000 this month and another 50,000 next month, we are being invaded by the new generations of various Countries, we're doomed if we don't enforce our laws, period.
Send them back. Provide the transportation to accomplish that, Air Force One? Oops, that plane is in constant use so the Prez can attend fundraisers. If I want to file a petition to get my adult son to come live in the US ( I'm LEGAL resident) it would cost me at least $ 3000, lots of paperwork, interviews, and I was told it would take 8 – 10 years! Now that is fine to have to do it ll the proper way......BUT when he would come to visit me once year, he could be denied entry into the US.....why? because now they know he wants to stay here...now where is the help and right for legal immigration? when apparently people can just walk across the boarder and get sympathy nd get to stay???? this is upsetting to me, I would have to wait 8 years .......doing it the legal way. U.S. law is clear that immigrant kids from Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador are to be treated differently than those from Mexico which borders the U.S. They are entitled to certain procedures. We need to hire additional judges, attorneys, and so forth to get those kids quickly processed and on their way.
How do you prove where they came from? Little kids don't know and their parents won't claim them. Can we afford to set up daycares in foreign countries? Maybe it would be cheaper than here.

I agree with you. It is so disheartening to see so many people so quick to lump all of these children as Mexican, when most of them are from Central America. We cannot be so hardened and entitled that we forget that we too were immigrants, invading this land like pestilence. And to turn children around, after a journey that many adults would find daunting, is inhumane. Yes, this is a problem, yest something needs to happen. But it is not going to be an overnight solution.

Absolutely. Just because a child is born here and has American citizenship, that child also has dual citizenship of their illegal parent's home of origin. Further, that child should not be entitled to stay here since s/he is not self-sufficient. Send them all home. When that child is 18, then that child can return (without the parents) as s/he is an American citizen. And when they return, no benefits, i.e welfare, food stamps, etc. We really need to limit the time people receive subsidies (and that includes mothers with children – let's stop the generational poverty by not giving taxpayer money to support people who refuse to support themselves and their families). No excuse, don't have children if you cannot support them. It may sound harsh, but we cannot fix the problem unless we send a powerful message that you cannot expect other people to support you. Americans, start protesting – in the street. Yes, you do work, but there needs to be a national day of outrage where we aren't taking this anymore.

These children should be returned to their own country of origin. The U.S. already has a huge on going problem with homeless people. A lot of these children are helpless due to age and this is so tragic for them but in the end this is such a huge crisis we have going on. It wouldn't hurt to move these children equally amongst all countries who are more equipped to give them a better future including the U.S. to also help some of them but not all them because it's to large of a population. This should be the second option only if we can't find any of the family member to merge these children back home where they belong, so they are no misplaced anymore. Some of these children are to young to even know why they are in the U.S. The U.S has to take responsibility and do something to not escalate the matters any worst than they already are.
I personally am of the "let everyone in if they aren't a criminal" school of immigration. I think the best way to avoid unaccompanied children coming over is to allow them to come over with their parents easily instead of fighting quotas. I believe in other countries giving us their tired, poor, huddled masses yearning to be free.
Perhaps that makes me an idealist.
But barring that... I don't know how you send children back to conflict. If you can find their parents and their situation isn't life threatening... sure. But if not and you're just dropping them off with a foriegn government in a country that can't provide for their safety... that's a tough step to sell to the american people.
In the grand scheme of things, I believe extremely open immigration policy combined with a very restricted list of services available to non-citizens and a deportation policy for legal aliens that will get rid of those who aren't contributing can be crafted to aleviate much of the issues. We don't want to be spending money on social services for those who aren't citizens... but those who are working and paying taxes should be welcomed and allowed to pursue citizenship (a long process for which they'd have to be employed and contributing the entire time without the majority of our social service net).
But that's probably pie in the sky to be honest.

Something you missed about Legal Immigration? There are about or over a million legal immigrants coming now, legally, every year. If this latest bunch stay, the taxpayers are going to pay the freight. Decades ago we forgave large debts to many of these countries. Liberal policies are great on paper, but the devil is in the details.
The problem with legal immigration are quotas. European nations have the same quota as Mexico or India, where demand is much greater.
I would be content with an immigration policy based on objective measures other then where you are from. It shouldn't be harder for an engineer from Mexico to get a visa then an engineer of similar quality from France... but in reality the Mexican engineer has absolutely no chance unless they marry a US citizen. Why? Because of caps for the number of immigrants allowed per nation.
Ideally I like taking everyone in, but as long as the system doesn't penalize someone just because a lot of others from their nation also want to come to the US... I'd be okay. If that means 95% of our legal immigrants become Hispanic... so what?

Obama is following the immigration laws. In fact, his immigration enforcement has been one of the biggest areas of anger for him from Hispanics. Obama has already deported more illegals in 5.5 years then Bush did in 8. More then double what clinton did. More then ten times more then Ronald Reagan.
His handling of the children in in line with immigration law. The law is different for political refuges... and that's what the children are claiming to be (or being claimed).
The issue is the laws are allowing the situation we have. The laws need to be fixed. And there is a bi-partisan bill aimed at fixing many of the issues with current immigration law that passed the senate... that the GOP refuses to take up in the House.
Obama doesn't believe in those 2 million deportations. But he is executing the laws that congress has passed... even if conservatives refuse to admit he's doing it.

The fact is that since Obama ascended to his rank of POTUS, he has done everything possible to restrict deportations. How do I know that? Because I, along with many coworkers have been at the receiving end of mysterious memorandums verbal orders that no one has the guts to claim as their own. The figures reported to tally deportations, they are cooked!. A Canadian and Mexican citizen, are the only people granted a VR-Voluntary Return. For administrative purposes, that is not considered a formal deportation. A formal deportation, actually carries weight in the sense that such person that receives a formal order to leave the country is not eligible to apply for a VISA for 5 years on their first offense.
This administration has been reporting Voluntary Returns as Deportations. If in fact Obama had been doing great in enforcing immigration laws and not the contrary....Why is it that the Union President for ICE employees as well as Border Patrol Union Officials have come out on national Tv to speak about the subject?
You mentioned that Hispanic groups are not happy with Obama because he has ramped up deportations. Right? Guess what? They read the same stuff you read and get the reported figures. The truth is that Hispanic groups/Immigration Reform groups are not happy with Obama for one reason alone: He didn't do what he promised them. No amnesty=Unhappy pro immigrants rights groups.

Undocumented children need to be returned to the embassy of their country of origin. They are not citizens of the United States and need to be united with their families. If an American child was abandoned in the another country we would demand the same.

The RINO's of DC acting like 70's Democrats are trying to kill their young, the REAL conservative base of the GOP by rallying the base of the Democrats in Miss to vote for Cochran. Now why would the GOP want Cochran this fall if the Democrats want him? Because he is likely to agree with the far left agenda now permeating the halls of DC.
The problem is that the views of their base make it difficult for the GOP to win general elections where their base isn't 50% of the electorate.
Right now, the biggest difficulty is that the views of the base make it very difficult for a GOP candidate following the will of the base to get many votes from those who arent' white. The last couple of GOP candidates are somewhat moderate when it comes to immigration issues, yet neither could get north of 30% of hispanic voters or 25% of minorities in general.
The huge anti-"amnesty" push of the GOP base makes it unlikely those numbers will change.
So let's do basic math. 72% of the voting electorate is white. GOP gets 59% of the white vote. 28% is not white. GOP gets 20% of that vote. Total... 47.2% of the vote... which is EXACTLY what Mitt Romney did in 2012.
Each presidential election, the electorate gets 2% less white. In 2016 it will be 70% white and 30% non-white. If the GOP gets 20% of the non-white vote again... they'll need 63% of the white vote just to get to 50% of the popular vote. And that percentage of the white voted needed will just increase every election beyond that.
Every concession made to the base now means a longer period of time it will take to convince the minorities of the country that the GOP does not hate them when they finally do decide to start trying to win their votes. The "RINO" republicans actually can do that math. They realize they need to convince their base to change their views to something that will allow them to actually win nationwide elections again while still making the base happy. But the base is resisting that.
So... what is your answer? Do you want the "insider" GOP to follow the views of the base... and never win the presidency again (and probably slowly lose control of the house or having any chance at the senate)? Or do you want them to have a bit broader base of what constitutes a republican... and be competitive again?
So, what you are saying essentially is non-whites are incapable of an intellectual decision based on issues and will always vote for liberal agendas. I totally disagree, and think you overestimate liberal bias. As the non-white population grows so does their desire for betterment of life not based solely on what big government gives them.
