WE don't have definitive answers on Pearl Harbor yet. What makes anyone think this batch of clowns will get an answer on Benghazi

The President told the American people that, the morning after the action, he told the American people that it was a terrorist attack, Yet for 14 days he and his administration told the American people a fabrication, a lie. The President needs to come forward and admit the Lie and explain in detail how and why it took place and who all was involved.. The President promised transparency so that it what twe want. Since he is nn the habit of lieing, the President needs to tell the American people what other lies he has been telling them.

What cover-up? Obama had nothing to lose if people thought that Benghazi was a terrorist attack. People do not blame the president when there is a terrorist attack. There were 13 embassy attacks during the Bush administration. Nobody said that Bush was weak on terrorism. It should be noted that Obama said that Al Qaeda was on the run, not exterminated. People understand that terrorism, by its nature, cannot be exterminated. Obama did not need to hide the fact that a terrorist attack can still occur.

Obama did not say the word "terrorism" for two weeks, but he did say "act of terror" several times in the days after the attack. There is no real difference between the two terms. An act of terror is terrorism. Besides, we don't need to be told that the Benghazi attack was terrorism. Republicans may think otherwise, but we are not stupid. We don't need to be told that an attack on an American embassy is terrorism.

SEVEN GOP led congressional investigations have taken place.

At what point does it stop? Are they so incompetent that SEVEN investigations wasn't enough to find the truth? And if so... why on earth would they do any better an 8th time?

The answer... they won't. But the WILL be able to constantly bring this up as something to raise money and excite their base indefinitely. That's all this is.

The truth has already come out in the last year and a half as a result of the last 7 reports. There's nothing nefarious there. Why is the GOP wasting taxpayer dollars investigating this for an 8th time.

Dummy dems don't realize that they missed a golden opportunity! All they had to do was say (hah)! OK we willingly give the special select committee everything they want with no restrictions and the mean ole republicans will be embarrassed and we won't look like we are hiding something. However, if your hiding something, naturally you will do all you can to keep it hidden!

You got have to love the liberals who post here. Their response is always the same – it's either:
1.) "The Ostrich" – "Nothing to see here
2.) "The Bush" – Oh yea, well Bush did this...

I'm still waiting for basic yes/no answers to the following questions:
1.) Did the IRS target groups based on their political affiliation
2.) Did Obama blame a video for the attack on Benghazi – even after he learned it was a terrorist attack
3.) Did the Department of Justice spy on Fox News Reporter James Rosen
4.) Did DOJ spy on AP Reporters
5.) Did Obama claim executive privilege over Fast & Furious
6.) Did Obama lie about Obamacare

They're simple yes/no question that no liberal wants to answer.

      1. Americans dying at a consulate, dozens under Bush, Nothing new here. 2. You are correct thousands of Americans died under Bush. 3.IRS job was to review tax exempt applications to ensure the groups were not political, the Tea Party, hello that was to easy. 4. Everyone spys on everyone, just ask Nixon. 5. Obama is trying his best to clean up all the prior administrations disastrous programs, give him a break it's a big mess. 6. At the time Obama mentioned you could keep you same doctor , at the time he said it it was true. Notice how not one provider came out and said that was a false statement. Their policy up until the last second was to amend your current policy. But what a surprise a few not all cancelled policies instead of amending as they did in the past. Having something you said that becomes not true later is not a lie. A lie going to war is a big deal. The story of Four Americans dying on foreign soil with no boots on the ground (Benghazi) does not deserve more attention then the thousands of Americans who died from a lie to go to war. Republicans and Fox News has turned Hypocrisy into a fine art.

I want to know who is responsible for leaking to the press that this office in Benghazi was a CIA operation. How many foreign service agents have died because of this leak? Clearly whoever is responsible is more concerned with scoring political points than protecting our nation.

I know why Republicans need this now. Republicans don’t have anything to show for the last 30 years. They have failed miserably at everything they promised their voters. They have failed miserably at running our country and it’s economy. Despite all the losing battles, Republicans still cling to the cynicism that has been eroding their base. Now what it takes for Republicans to win is desperation, to restrict voting rights(where they can) and fundraise off of the deaths of honorable men and women of our foreign service.

I already know what happened at Benghazi. Some terrorist attacked the embassy and killed some US citizens. It’s a terrible tragedy, and it happens more often than we’d like to admit. Americans were killed many times at embassies while GW Bush was President and I didn't hear a peep of outrage from Republicans or the media then. Can anyone name even one GOP Congressmen that strongly protested about Administration incompetence or honesty during any of the 13 US embassy attacks resulting in 77 US deaths during GW Bush's term, including the 2 consecutive attacks in Riyadh, where there was sufficient time to adjust from the first attack. I will take even a strong protest, let alone a congressional investigation. who? when?

Isn’t this a double standard? How about 9/11? 3000+ died on 9/11 on US soil. Was that a failure of leadership? Would that be a good reason to never vote for Republicans ever again? Or how about what Republicans did to our country after they failed to stop 9/11? The war in Iraq that killed 4500 more Americans that was based on lies Republicans told America? The cost of the war in Iraq alone could have funded Social Security for 75 years!!! Republicans voters are clearly heartless morons.

Sure, you Republican hacks can go on politicizing the deaths of honorable service men and women if you like, but don't think for a second that Americans are stupid enough to pass judgement on Hillary for the actions of terrorists in a foreign land.

Republicans in the last 30 years have only demonstrated that they are the most cowardly type of people our world has to offer. They truly have no qualities and this Benghazi gate affair just shines a light on that fact.

Clearly the only way the GOP can find to stir the blood of their right wing extremist party is to trot out yet again the Benghazi story. They are using the death of four Americans for nothing more than the most cynical fundraising purposes. Shame I say- shame on them.

Rand Paul seems to have a knack for boldly “opening his mouth and sticking his foot into it”. His latest is seen in his statement that “Clinton is precluded from running for president”, which clearly shows his real fear and his feelings of inferiority for ever having to compete with her. Paul, and the GOP in general continually offer the people, the majority, absolutely nothing and just demonstrate that they think they can disgustingly manipulate public opinion by constantly presenting propaganda and their aggressive criticism. Currently they have simply taken Obamacare and Benghazi criticism to extremes, demonstrating they have nothing positive to offer and that they are desperate, ignoring that Obamacare is proving to offer value, while they neglected to even address the problems, and while their Benghazi criticism is being totally over played in their far reaching effort to just have something.

That behavior is understandable when it is seen in their being literally owned and controlled by “the money”, that they have little choice as they are simply “puppets” needing to cater to serving “the money’s” interests, no matter what it costs the majority, and that they are then completely dependent on being able to con the people, with the power, influence and big bucks provided them, insultingly just taking the majority for granted. We saw this with Bush-Cheney as they used their offices and America’s resources for their private agenda to diligently serve only the few and it cost this country and the majority drastically, literally bringing America’s economy down while “the money” still gained and the GOP rationalized it all as being “conservative”. This is what they want to return to, “more of the same” Bush-Cheney style, which can only result in “more of the same”.

All of politics, all parties, leave plenty of room for improvement but the reality is that the Republican / Tea party completely caters to “the money” for their strong support, support which comes with an abundance of strings being pulled and renders the GOP politicians to just be “puppets” dancing for the few and trying to con the many. It has been said that today’s GOP is literally incapable of honestly and responsibly governing for the people, for the majority, and since 2000 they have totally substantiated that to be true. To ever regain a “Grande Ole Party”, with a true conscience for the people, it is necessary for the voters to force change, neither the Supreme Court nor the politicians themselves will do it, in order to cut the stranglehold “the money” has on the party, by strongly refusing to be conned, by totally rejecting the constant barrage of propaganda and by voting to firmly and totally reject the “puppets” who perform only for “the money” and their own political ambitions. Otherwise the country needs to be ready for the possibility of “more of the same”, Bush-Cheney style.

  15. Here's the answer

Terrorists attacked a US embassy that didn't have enough security because of GOP funding cuts. In the mean time, a general banged a broad (remember that one?)

You really need to stop lying about GOP cutting funding. Democrats have controlled the budget since 2007.

You do know how our government works right?

  16. ALL Attacks

ALL attacks on a US embassy are terrorist attacks. So were the attacks that happened MORE OFTEN and MORE DEADLY under Bush. IT'S A GIVEN!!!!!! Are the GOP just mad that we didn't start ANOTHER "unfunded/off-the-books" war? Maybe the GOP are just embarrassed that THEY cut funding for security. Witch hunt is the ANSWER.

Yes... basically the GOP position is that despite having 7 reports from THEIR OWN PARTY that basically couldn't find anything of value in regard to Benghazi... they want to spend more taxpayer money to investigate further... because the majority of congress voted for it.

This is the same logic as voting to repeal Obamacare over and over when it has no chance of going anywhere. It's not based in accomplishing anything... it's simply a political ploy. That can go absolutely NOWHERE... or it already would have happened.

The problem the GOP has to grapple with is that we've seen them doing this the last 4 years... over and over and over. Even the dullest of Americans is starting to realize that they aren't harping on Obamacare or the IRS or Benghazi because they hope to uncover/fix/change anything. They are simply trying to get political gains. And because that's ALL they do (rather then trying to actually do anything to help the country), people are getting restless.

You can't keep acting in such a blatantly manipulative and non productive manner without people noticing and getting upset. You actually have to sprinkle a little constructive work in there somewhere. And that simply hasn't happened since the GOP took the house. The only time anything constructive has gotten done is when the GOP senators force the house to act with a modicum of sensibility.

what planet do you live on? The problem is obama and mob looked us in the eye and lied about this… Nixon pales in comparison… we need to get to the bottom of this. Perhaps the American people deserve better from our leaders…I hope so.

        SEVEN GOP led investigations.

If they haven't "gotten to the bottom of this" yet, then they are simply too incompetent to do so and an 8th investigation won't change that. It will just waste everyone's money for the sole purpose of helping the GOP politically.

If there was ANYTHING to use against the administration, it would have already been uncovered in the last 7 investigations and used.
