Sen. Bernie Sanders and former Sen. Rick Santorum disagree on just about everything when it comes it politics. But the two also each have big differences with their parties' establishment.
Santorum is at odds with Gov. Chris Christie & others in the Republican party, arguing they need to elect an apologetic conservative, not a moderate candidate. After saying that winning the White House "...may be a win for the Republican candidate but it will be a devastating loss for America," Christie hit back, saying "we don't get to govern if we don't win."
Meanwhile, Sanders tells The Nation that leadership needs to explain to the American people why they are hurting and how to grow the middle class, but doesn't think "that is the politics of Senator Clinton or the democratic establishment."
Sanders and Santorum will face in the Crossfire, joined by S.E. Cupp and guest host Marc Lamont Hill.
We want you to weigh in: If Hillary Clinton runs, will she get a significant primary challenge on the left?

Seriously – All of our politicians are pathetic.
For 25-years or more not one of them has done anything to protect Americans livelihoods.
We need leaders that will stop selling us out to countries like communist China.
If more Americans would have listened to Perot back in 1992, we wouldn't be in this mess right now.
Unfortunately most of our politicians are a joke – Only it's not so funny, because over the past several decades, all they've been doing is screwing the American people, by stalling, spending, removing protections and allowing illegal aliens to continue to pour in and American jobs and industry to pour out, and all while collecting their American tax-payer funded pay checks, benefits and whatever else they get on the side from their various lobbyist friends.
Over the last 25-years, our government has allowed our country's industries to get sucked out to China, India, Mexico, etc and allowed illegal aliens and H-1B foreigners to come into our country and take away tax-paying Americans jobs and drive down wages.
Regardless of what the Free-Traitors keep trying to sell us, we can see what's real. The American People need to just trust their own instincts, common sense and what they've seen actually going on all around them versus all of the nonsense that the Free-Traitors are still trying to sell us. Trade with countries like China, India and Mexico is pretty much a One-Way-Street.
The ONLY REAL FIX for our great country is to RAISE REVENUE, by Bringing Back Businesses and Jobs to TAX-PAYING AMERICAN CITIZENS.
This is the only way that Americans are going to be able to "Get a Raise" and sustain it. The more jobs and businesses that we bring back to tax-paying Americans citizens, the healthier our real economy will be and the more likely it will be for the American people to keep up and possibly even start to move forward again.
All of our political leaders' talk is just cheap and meaningless! – When will these people finally wake up and step up with real ideas and real action, instead of just meaningless talk and tokenism?
The American People need Our Leaders to start remembering that they are elected by the Citizens of the United States of America to represent the interests of those citizens and the country itself.
They are NOT elected by or to represent the Global Market Place, Lobbyist, Foreigners or Illegal Aliens.
Let's face it both parties are just doing the bidding of their masters, while lamely trying to look like they're trying represent us. Wouldn't it be nice, if some of these masters were conscientious loyal Americans who loved their country and cared about their fellow Americans and would finally start pointing their lap-dog-politicians in the direction of doing right by the American People? Maybe that's delusional on my part – But if this doesn't start happening soon, the American people and the future of country we love is domed.
@protecamericanjobs and anyone else reading this...
What your saying I believe in it 100%, for I too have been pushing this, and more to all that will listen.
Now that's all well and good, but only to a certain point.
So here is a reality check that makes the difference in talking or doing; tell me in all honesty, I mean this for real, no BS, how many times have "You" contacted your state Rep, Sen. Congressmen, or whatever. in the past year? telling them this is not working and either they do something quick you will start a moving in the direction of getting them removed from office, whether to impeach, or not re-vote election time?
How many times have you gotten involved with other groups (peaceful) and marched, sat on your Capital steps and/or to the Whitehouse gates? A letter and email, or better yet a phone call?
Do you know they will actually sit with you if you ask for an appointment, yes! I have been invited to our Senators office a couple times now. Why? Because I am a pain in the ass to all of these guys and I will continue to be so until I die or they make a change.
Now although I do not know you and you probably do more than I, but we have to send the message that those who are talkers, and not shakers . They need to get up off their asses and make contact with whomever in office, to let them know personally we need to move in a better direction that fits We The People of the United States..
For all that have died, for this country in order to keep it "American Made" etc. are turning in their graves wondering why the hell they gave so much for it to turn to this..
Go do your Real part, don't just talk about it, and everyone else who is reading this.
Please contact your States Reps, Sen. etc...and let them see your face, or hear your voice, make it real, believe me it makes a big difference for them to know your not scared to meet with these blokes, you are the real people, and Not hiding behind the ones that are out there doing it for you.
Tell them straight out, no more excuses, because you have heard them all, now its time for them to really start working for us. Tell them to start shaking the bushes or we are going to boot them and all the rest of those cronies out!
Now that, my friends, will make a difference in our country, for that is what the Real People of this United States Of America should act like.. Peaceful, yet to the point of our way or the highway!!!!
I have no interest in becoming a politician or becoming politically active. But, I feel that it's very important that we continue to become the unsilent majority until our messages of common sense are heard and our leaders actually start putting some sensible measures in place to stem the tide. Otherwise this is going to continue to have a devastating effect on America and the American citizens.
When you write to the GOP, DNC, TP, The White House, governors, senators and congressmen you just get generic responses for the most part and they just keep on with the same old same old.
If you agree, please keep spreading the word whenever and were ever you can – Because regardless of what the Free-Traitors keep trying to sell us, we can see what's real. The American People need to just trust their own instincts, common sense and what they've actually seen going on all around versus the nonsense that the Free-Traitors are still trying to sell us.
If you want to get into the dirty business politics, good luck.
Oh and our politicians are aware of much of what's being written in many of these blogs, comments sections, Facebook pages, etc...... because they pay people to see what's going on out there. But the thing is that they don't give a crap. Although in many cases their puppet masters pay moderators to censor common sense Pro-American/Anti-Outsourcing comments, yet they'll allow the crowd of petty-partisan-name-callers, free-traitors and paid trolls to post any sort of inflammatory nonsense that they want just to keep people polarized and distracted so that they'll continue to lose sight of the bigger picture.
I don't want to be in politics, in no way what's-so-ever! I am a musician and there are enough politics in there already, thank you very much....
As to what your reply to that of my last comment is exactly why this country is in the shitter..
You as most all others, s peak a lot of smack, make loud noises, etc. but when it comes down to actually doing it physically, you would rather not be bothered, just watch your football games on the Tele! that's bollocks if you ask me.
In your statement of your last reply post; "When you write to the GOP, DNC, TP, The White House, governors, senators and congressmen you just get generic responses for the most part and they just keep on with the same old same old"...
Again bollocks! I have personally written them and yes you may get some generic letters back, but if you are consistent and they start to recognize your name, trust me they will not only get back to you on a personal level (non-generic) but they may also ask if they can call you and talk to about whatever mater your writing about further. Then when that goes over, they even ask you to join them either in Washington, or the state capitals office, whatever is more convenient for YOU! So please don't be one of these fools spreading blarney around, because this why we get more and more up the arse then the year before, etc.. and that's before we even got this bloke and his cronies in office of which has made it even worst...
And by the way, I know their aids see the trades, blogs, etc. sure, but when they see that people like you talk, and blog and then say the things that you say, like don't waste your time on writing, etc. they know your another fat ass talking, and only doing so, and they in being comfortable of that, they continue on the same road; screwing us, the people who pay their fat checks so they can live lavish and we cant even afford insurance, to which by the way wa the start of this whole conversation last week that went to a different angle...
Most of these blokes go in political office with good intentions, but it's what happens once they are there for too long, they get corrupted like all the rest of them...
They should make revise the law, changing it to no more than 4 years in Sen. and/or any other political high office.
This would reduce the corruptness dramatically, for they are still fresh with vigor and not enough time to get changed over..
So whoever reads this, don't listen to lazy pissers like Protecusjobs, which first of all, what a title, yet little balls that hang on it...
People I a just another wanker like you, but gives a crap maybe a little more than you, and I wasn't even born here, but have been in this country since '62 (legally) and a patriotic American since.
Please get involved, physically, be emotional about your country. If you love it, then fight for it, its ours dam it!
Write them, Call them, or better yet, ask for a meeting with them.
Get involved with none violent groups that want a real change in this country, we deserve to be the ones to say what goes on here, not the establishment.. this is like the our fore fathers against the Red Coats all over again....
So thank you for helping....
I do write to them – But, when you write to the GOP, DNC, TP, The White House, governors, senators and congressmen you just get generic responses for the most part and they just keep on with the same old same old.
If you agree, please keep spreading the word however, whenever and where ever you can – Because regardless of what the Free-Traitors keep trying to sell us, we can see what's real. The American People need to just trust their own instincts, common sense and what they've actually seen going on all around versus the nonsense that the Free-Traitors are still trying to sell us.

Neither party is ready to transparently face the people of the United States in 2016. There is no difference between the parties, except for names. There is no real democracy in the US; rather there is plutocracy. The media/money complex has got to go; targeted advertising has got to go (Will any candidate talk about targeted advertising, and how the Internet is being used to "design" adverts. trace cookies, and usurp voter privacy.)
Third Party candidates must be allowed to introduce alternative policy at national debates.
Get the billion/million dollar "donations" out of the elections.
Stop treating corporations as "people", deserving of "free speech", as in "money talks". Corporations are not people!
Weighing in: If Hillary Clinton runs, will she get a significant primary challenge on the left? Does it matter (See foregoing.)?. Until big money is gone from politics, the answer is NO!
Save American democracy NOW.
1. Thinks they themselves are rich.
2. Makes less than $100,000/yr.
3. Has a net worth less then $200,000.
4. Primary residence is on wheels or blocks.
5. Benefits directly from the ACA but really, really hates Obamacare.
6. Probably retired and depending on SS and Medicare or will be the person most likely to need SS and Medicare.
7. Thinks they are religious but they should read the book, "How NOT To Be A Republican" (a.k.a. The Bible).
8. Thinks republicans are conservatives.
9. Racist.
10. Actually thinks republicans represent THEM!!
It's almost looking like Israelis, tired of living under an anti-missle dome could buy Ukrainian debt & foreclose & move into Ukrainian homes. If so, why don't we settle everything now and just give them Florida.
It feels like the GOP isn't prepared at all.
So far, the only issue they seem to be positioning themselves for is... Obamacare.
But here's the thing, if running on Obamacare didn't work in 2012 when the person who's name is Obama was running... I feel like there's not much chance of it working as a sole issue in 2016 against someone who's name is not on it.
The GOP still seems set on running AGAINST things rather then having something to run for. If the election comes down again to the Democrats saying "These are our ideas" and the GOP saying "Your ideas stink"... the Democrats win. The GOP needs alternatives... and ideas of their own.
Right now, the democrats are well ahead on the "idea" front. Immigration reform. Minimum wage and fixing income inequality. Gun control. The democratic positions are all pretty clear on these issues. Many believe those are all problems needing fixes. The GOP's only stance is to say all of those fixes suck without offering a solution of their own. Essentially... they're saying they don't see a problem.
Good luck with that.
Republicans are so thrilled with Obama's low poll numbers- they see it as a great success. Hopefully, eight years from now, they can celebrate low approval ratings of another second-term Democratic president.
The Democrats are ready for 2016.
The Republicans are ready for 1916.
Get ready for 8 years of PRESIDENT HILLARY. Plus Bill is going to make for an awesome First Dude.
Humm,
Kinda like the Aesop Fable of the Mice needing to put bell on Cat. Everybody said it needed to be done but who do it? I say turn it over to Liberal's. They been running the show so far. Why Change now.
What happens to me and my wife who cant afford insurance any more do to the fact the our insurance has jump from $500. for a gold plan to $892. for the worst Bronze plan? We make less money now then we did in the last 2 years and prior, my bills (home-gas-utilities) are the same, but now with insurance so much we are out of the loop!! what can we do at our older age (59 years and 55 years)? who helps us? we have no insurance!!!!
If you sign up for a private insurance plan on your state's exchanges and your income is less than $62,920, you can get subsidies from the federal government. The federal government provides subsidies for people making up to 400% of the federal poverty level, which is $15,730 for a family of two.
Tony so what if you made, 64.K, now what? this is the problem, who can afford, 10k of insurance that is pretty much worthless in my eyes. (See my first reply). The bronze is only good for a real necessity. not for people at mine and wife's age. We need something that we can use on regular basis, such as a few times a year. So again I ask you and everyone else that seem to think that is Obamacare is working; what the heck do I do now? Pay for the ones that could not afford it prior to O, and yet not cant get any for myself? Look either you go all the way with socialized Med. Or go back to Private ins. and lets us bargain across state line, and impose some other regulations, like Gauging..
Tony so what if you made, 64.K, now what? this is the problem, who can afford, 10k of the Bronze Plan insurance that is pretty much worthless in my eyes. (See my first reply. This plan, which was the cheapest @ $892. per month is really only good for emergencies or close to that nature. People at mine and wife's age, almost 60, need something that we can use a few times a year. So again I ask you and everyone else that seem to think that is Obamacare is working; what the heck do I do now? Pay for the ones that could not afford it prior to O, and yet not cant get any for myself?

You don't make $64,000. $60,000 was what you said. The law, like most things in life, is not good for everyone. In case you have not noticed, the president has extended the grandfather provision in the ACA so that everyone can stay on his or her old plan, assuming that his or her insurance company keeps the plan. The problem is that many insurance companies don't keep their plans, because they change their plans every one or two years anyway, with or without the ACA.
You may want to apply for a hardship exemption. The following is a list from Healthcare.gov:
1. You were homeless.
2. You were evicted in the past 6 months or were facing eviction or foreclosure.
3. You received a shut-off notice from a utility company.
4. You recently experienced domestic violence.
5. You recently experienced the death of a close family member.
6. You experienced a fire, flood, or other natural or human-caused disaster that caused substantial damage to your property.
7. You filed for bankruptcy in the last 6 months.
8. You had medical expenses you couldn’t pay in the last 24 months.
9. You experienced unexpected increases in necessary expenses due to caring for an ill, disabled, or aging family member.
10. You expect to claim a child as a tax dependent who’s been denied coverage in Medicaid and CHIP, and another person is required by court order to give medical support to the child. In this case, you do not have the pay the penalty for the child.
11. As a result of an eligibility appeals decision, you’re eligible for enrollment in a qualified health plan (QHP) through the Marketplace, lower costs on your monthly premiums, or cost-sharing reductions for a time period when you weren’t enrolled in a QHP through the Marketplace.
12. You were determined ineligible for Medicaid because your state didn’t expand eligibility for Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act.
13. Your individual insurance plan was cancelled and you believe other Marketplace plans are unaffordable.
14. You experienced another hardship in obtaining health insurance.
No. 13 or 14 may work for you. If you qualify for a hardship exemption, you may buy a catastrophic plan. Catastrophic plans usually have lower monthly premiums than a comprehensive plan, but cover you only if you need a lot of care. Catastrophic plans cover 3 primary care visits per year at no cost, even before you’ve met your deductible. They also cover free preventive services. Since you and your wife only need care a few times a year, this may work for you.
By the way, the ACA is private insurance with government regulations. The only government insurance in the ACA is Medicaid, which does not apply to you. In a few years, you and your wife will qualify for Medicare, which is socialized medicine. Then you will realize that socialized medicine is not so bad.
Thank you tony, that was good advice I will follow up on that and see what they say; 13 and 4 are the best choices as you mentioned.. Yes you are correct about the Medicare.. Thanks again
Insurance is the PROBLEM!!. Insurance CAN NOT, WILL NOT, and NEVER HAS been able to control health care costs. Insurance wastes 25% or more of your health care dollars for NO VALUE added to your health care. A single payer system is the ONLY system that will allow us, as an entire nation, to negotiate better health care prices (the REAL problem).
I have always been in favor of a single payer system. Lets not forget that 20 years ago the mandate was the conservative alternative to a single payer system. However, for a low income family like mine, this law is working. My parents were able to get subsidies on insurance than would normally cost about $650 for just $101. As a young person (Who works and goes to school full time) I appreciate the expansion of Medicaid. My fiance and I wouldn't be able to afford healthcare otherwise.
Eh,
If you think Health Care is expensive now, just wait until it's free. Aw, yes, free. Just how do you do that? I know, just elect Liberal's that promise you the moon. And remember the Liberal Mantra, WITH YOUR MONEY AND MY BRAINS, WE WILL GO PLACES.
Well we did promise AND get to the moon... so there's that.
