Are Putin's actions Hitler-like? Well if invading Ukraine to protect Russians is Hitler-like, than what do you call the US invading Iraq for nothing.
Well said. Maybe Hillary got her info from picket signs with "adolf putin" carried by"Ukrainian americans" at the White House. What will she say when they start throwing firebombs ?
CNN is now the new Fox News. I have quit watching CNN as it promotes attacks against Obama and the Democrats. I consider the Republicans close to Hitler, by the way they attack and speak about Obama. Even the actions and bills they are passing in the states are taking away the rights of the American people. Is this not what Hitler did?
It couldn't be more obvious the racists who all came out of the closet when a black man took over the white house. The Fox hate Obama network was created, the Tea party, Birthers, and the GOP congressman.
The "russian people in the Ukraine" comment is what draws the comparison.
Looking back, Hitler used the same rhetoric. He "protected the germans in Austria" by forcing them to cede power to Germany on threat of invasion. He "protected the german minority" in Czechoslovakia by annexing the Sudetenland into Germany (as a British sponsored compromise to avoid an actual invasion of all of the country). All this before they invaded Poland and began WW2.
I'm not saying Putin follows a Nazi agenda or not. I am saying he's using the same tactics they used prior to WW2... annexing land based on a claim of protecting people of the same ethnicity (not nationality).
Hilary is exactly right. Pretend the minority of your ethnic group in an adjoining country is being persecuted, and send in troops to "protect" them and just take over the country. Same MO.
Napoleon tried to take over all of europe and met his defeat / waterloo in Russia. Hitler did the same, killing 5000 jews and 20000 russians ( 4 times as many russians died in ww2) until the russians finally won the war in europe (we won it in Japan with an abomb that i think the russians helped invent). we have always been on the same side in war as the russians! they have always been our allies! the cold war was a competition no shots were fired! But please note that "THE WEST" was the invader and to blame in all these wars. Current leader Arseniy Yatsenyuk and the EU and USA are to blame here too. we have no right to try to buy the Ukraine with loans leading to "privitization of Ukrainian cities" and our invading Ukraine through economic tricks. Ukraine will always be the "breadbasket of russia" (food doent grow in Siberia and russians could starve without Ukraine). If we keep insulting, provoking (like sore losers at the olympics) and interfering in Ukrainian politics & causing riots & a coup, Russia will defeat this western aggressor too, count on it.
Are you nuts?
You honestly think "invading through economic tricks" is somehow on par with sending in troops?
"Economic tricks" is just business. People like being given more money. People tend to support people who give them money. The way you fight that is offer "economic tricks" of your own... bid more. It's not to send in your military.
The entire foreign relations between all countries is simply economics. It's all about the money. That's how countries interact and relate. Offering more money isn't a trick... it's called good foriegn relations. Why would anyone be criticized for doing that.
And note... Russia has done it too. Do you know why Ukraine had been supportive of Russia up until recently? Because Russia gives them a huge discount on natural gas... an economic trick. But when people on the other side of the Ukraine started offering a competitive offer, Russia decided to use the military... to FORCE rather then cajole.
And yes, that is MUCH worse.
Good Lord June,
You want to try that again? The Nazi's killed about 6 Million Jews, not 5000. The Allies, together defeated Germany and Japan. The Russians had nothing to do with developing the Atomic Bomb. Surly you jest when you blame the West for all the world's I'll's. Try again.
it was 6 million jews and 20 million Russians.
YES , Is acting almost the same, but what is going right now . That is not acceptable for what I ear they did sign in exchange of is nuk witch was respected up to now.
Lets see, takes a country, holds them captive. That's pretty much Hitler like. But what to expect when your leader is a wimp, just ask Putin.
Aw come on CNN. Gimme a break. Hillary was right on target and many of us thought it before she said it.
PS: Pleeease quit putting Sarah half term on the Air. Her shill voice scare children and can kill small animals .
