In the Crossfire: Obama rejected by the House

In the Crossfire: President Obama rejected by the House...again.

The GOP-controlled House approved legislation that gives health insurance companies the option of extending plans through 2014 that would otherwise be canceled for not complying with the Affordable Care Act standards.

Is it the beginning or the end of his most-cherished accomplishment?

In the Crossfire at 6:30pm ET: Rep. John Fleming (R-LA) and Rep. Matt Cartwright (D-PA) join Van Jones and S.E. Cupp to discuss.

Promo Split 11.15

Should the President fire someone over Obamacare failures?

I'm not claiming any moral high road, unless you are acknowledging the Republican / Tea Party has taken the immoral, self-serving low road. I'm just disgusted with what they have become, with the irresponsibility they demonstrate while playing the arrogant and cocky elitists, as they grind away with their machine attacking those in their way, serving "the money" and conning the people. Take now and the aggressive attacking of Obama while neglecting to recognize the plentiful character flaws in their own – Cruz, Palin, Paul, Cantor, Ryan, Perry and on and on – even remembering GWBush in office and how you could tell he was lying just by noting if he was moving his lips – with all of them just self-focused and willing to do / say whatever serves their purpose.
As for policy changes and the facts, what needs to be changed is the attitude that is aggressively and constantly pursued. When the concentration is only on the money, specifically on more money for the very wealthy, their strong supporters and masters, then you have the problems we experienced. What happened in the Bush-Cheney years (which they want to return to) was the exploitation of our economy by the few, allowed and even encouraged by permissive policies, costing everyone greatly, except those few who walked away fat and sassy. Today's GOP is literally owned and controlled by "the money" and they concentrate on serving them and on their political ambitions at any cost to the people. What to change? .. change the attitude that says they can't raise taxes on the wealthy, that says they have to cut programs for the majority (including entitlements) to save billion dollar concessions given the oil companies. Your questions are simply an evasion as the reality is obvious and that is really part of the problem; people have their blind loyalties and allow their emotions to control instead of being objective and rational, honestly to themselves.
I don't consider being fed up with the obnoxious self-serving political structure that constantly pushes this country further towards being a two-class society, with "the money" always feeding their insatiable "more" (never enough) appetite while the majority is forced to sacrifice, as taking "the moral high ground", I consider it as being real and saying "enough is enough". The Democrats definitely have their faults but to currently support the GOP is to be duped, used and abused into catering to "the money" and selling the people short.

Why are Republicans foaming at the mouth? 1. They know that, when their hissy fits wear out, people will realize that the program works. 2. And it will work well. 3. They will be exposed as the liars they are. 4. President Obama, after patienty enduring the Republican tantrums while he works, finally wins and wins big. 5. The Republicans will increse the volume of their screeching as their lies crumble around them. Sounds familiar? They went through the same hyper drama for Social Security, Medicare and the Civil Rignts Act.

More republicans than democrats voted for the civil rights act. In the House, 80% of Republicans voted for, 20% against, whereas only 61% of Democrats voted for it, with 39% against. In the Senate, again, 82% of republicans voted for and 18% voted against, versus 66% of dems voting for it and 34% voting against it. You make some big misassumptions in your brief remarks.

Health care has always been on of those subjects in America which has been a grey line because we don't treat as right like other countries do their citizen's don't have to worry about not being able to see a doctor, because their health care system and plans will pay for their treatment's from women's breast cancer to everything else. Why is in America we can spend a trillion dollars on bombing some Middle East city that we have never heard of, but when it comes to health care it's always a debate which never get's solved and millions of innocent people die in America everyday. Being an American who has traveled to other city's across the world, their citizen's are amazed how something like healthcare is treated not as a right but as a privilege in America, and when President Obama tries to help us with some type of Universal Health Care coverage we as American's just talk negative things about his efforts to help us live a little longer or not pay for our healthcare coverage we should all be ashamed of ourselves. As American's when we realize that our health is the most important thing in our lives, and should not be treated as privilege like buying a new home but as right for all American's so we can live an extra three years or be with our grandchildren and watch them grow up to be great adults to move our great nation forwards for years to come.

Dear Eddie, allow me to explain. Republicans consider that "what's good for big companies is good for them. The middle class? Screw the middle class". That's what they think, not what they tell people. Then they lie by telling half truths to their voters because they know they will swallow it hook, line and sinker.

There needs to be accountability in whatever form.
We need many more questions answered on who did what when, and who paid who how much.
I'm not clear yet who was responsible for what.

Well OF COURSE he should: Sibelius! It was, directly, her responsibility. She's the one in charge of it. Obama should go on national TV, apologize again, and say he is, formally, asking for her resignation, for failing the American people. He'd gain a little bit of credibility back, by showing he has some spine and is willing to make someone in his inner circle pay for her outrageous incompetence.

Obama should be fired. He should be impeached and thrown out of the office that he has disgraced. He makes Nixon look like an Eagle Scout. Obama is incompetent, unqualified and the worst man to hold the office of President. But he will remain in office, because no one has the cajones to begin impeachment hearings against Obama because he's black. No one wants the first black (technically half black half white) president to be a complete failure because it just wouldn't be politically correct. That is why affirmative action and hiring people because of their ethnicity is so wrong. Obama is the perfect example.

Actually for me, leaving my doctors would be worse than paying more. Zero of my choices allow that.
ACA chooses which docs will participate. My doc, nor any of my specialists have been included.
Paying cash will be my only option if I want to continue with them.

That would be fine if people want to do it for free or cheap. However since doctors go to school for 8 years after high school, plus residency for 3 to 8 years I think they deserve to make more than the cashier at Wallmart who started pumping out babies when she was 15.

My job was eliminated in 2010. I had tried several well known and lesser known insurance companies trying to get insurance for myself and my husband. I was asked if I had diabetes or high blood pressure. I answered that 'I did'. Without even giving me any choices at all, I was told by all of these companies that they could not help me. They hung up on me and I was forced to pay for COBRA insurance for more than 11 months, at the cost of $12,000.00. I would say that with O'Bamas plan, this would not have happened to me. It was all the money I had.

The headline I clicked said "Should Obama fire someone?"
YES himself. Leaders are always supposed to be accountable. Republican or Democrat is irrelevant.
The whole point of a leader is to lead properly. If he cant get what he said he could, then he should relieve himself if he does ANYONE

      Resign?? Obama should be impeached.
      - obamacare is a veritable train wreck. Putting the cart before the ass doesn't normally work. O'dark legistlation and ram-rodding a faulty law down the public's throat can not stand.
      - firing a low-level worker due to his (obama's) poor oversight?? It was a no-bid multi-million dollar contract to construct/administer the website.
      - "you can keep the health care plan you currently have – period". Another one of his lies.
      – obama is out of touch with the American public. As is Congress.
They should all be tried in a court of law for treason.
