I don't understand how someone has the heart to do this. These mammals need to be free, what hurts me more is Seaworld is across the street from my house and I cant do anything to help. They are amazing and don't deserve to be taking away from there family and freedom.
$$$$ is in control of these people, and its ruling these whale's lives as slaves to do what they want them to by starving them...it's so wrong!
It's blinding these children that go to sea world to watch these shows, first time I ever went, I remember thinking it was amazing and Beautiful, next I got season passes. After seeing "the blackfish" I feel stupid and hurt, knowing I spent $ to go.....but thats all what its about at the end of the day. FREE THE WHALES!

You would think with our modern technology, That we as( the supposed by our boasting) the superior race would be able to figure out how to leave nature life in its place and if we have fascination to their life ways we would record them and display our works in a virtual world. But due to our selfish and demanding ways we feel we can consume nature and feel the connection to IT by capturing life that we are not patient enough to wait to pass by us, as a gift, and containing it in our unnatural compounds. Those who support zoos, animal participation circuses, films with animals doing things that by their nature are not normal, and owners of non domestic wild life should be ashamed of your hunger to support your interest by your audience. We are what we eat as well what we do. I believe God did not give us other creatures for us to control and abuse. PLEASE TEACH YOUR CHILDREN WELL and MAKE A STAND , SHOW YOUR INTELIGENCE and LET NOT ONLY THE WHALES GO BUT OUR WILDLIFE BEASTS FREE.

How would you like to be put in a 2×2 cell for no wrong doing at all. You would end up stooped like the orcas dorsal fin. I've never seen anything so cruel or barbaric as this. Someone do something about this. Set them free in the right humane way. Get them back to their fsmilies!!

Please , educate your children, watch the movie together and talk with them about it. I went to Sea World SD in 1970 and nice I was a child I did not realize what was happening. Our children have a voice the only voice that can bring about change in the future. We as adults are spoiled and too concerned with political correctness. If I were to see our government stand up for our fellow mammals and mandate that Sea Word closes up shop and set them all free I would be a very proud American. What is the worse that could happen? The Sea World owners and investors would just have to make their money somewhere else. Maybe helping the world in some way , not exploiting these beautiful mammals. I pray that we learn. Thank you CNN for allowing a voice in this matter

Free the mammals to the sea where they belong...you are just making money off of them...it was pathetic to watch the mother screeching like that, when they took her offspring......they have a lot of water out there to be Free...your whole idea is making money....I'm ashamed to say, I took my kids to your place and watched this.....didn't know any better...I do now, sure as hell, my grandchildren won't be going there...

Thank you Newt. I've never agreed your politics but I'm very proud of your request for transparency. Why can't we shut down the whale and dolphin part of Seaworld? It's animal abuse on a large scale. Do lobbyists really have that much power!? Scary stuff.

Sea World should close their doors forever! This is sad, depressing and should not be done! Animals need to stay in the wild!

The fact of the matter is the Seaworld has not answer the main questions about the show or the circus going on there. They try to convince us all that all the good the do for the whales is reason enough to let them force the whale to be part of a show. One question that needs to be ask is: Is Seaworld willing to maintain the care and rescue of whales if the circus is shutdown?? Circus = revenue

Seaworld is fucked up! Would you fucking like it if I put you in a bathtub your whole life and only gave you food when you do tricks well and take you away from your fucking family and have other smaller mammals do fucking tricks on you, just so an asshole swims in his billions of dollars every night!? FUCK SEAWOLRD.

They belong in the wild, that's their home. It's not right for them to be human entertainment. It's cruel to force them to perform

Growing up as a child in California, I went numerous times to Seaworld, enjoying the whale shows. I think in the back of all of our minds, long before the documentary "Blackfish", we all knew that whale captivity was sickening but we bought that ticket anyways. When you are standing there in person looking at these huge animals swimming in their water jail cell pools, ask yourself what did this creature do to deserve this kind of torture? By learning the true history of "Tilikum" and the big business behind Seaworld, my family and I will never support this corporation again.
